Homeschool Programs

Discover Marine Science is happy to arrange marine science programs for homeschool groups! These programs involve hands-on activities, games and crafts relevant to marine topics. Many programs involve live animals in a touch-tank setup. All programs are held at the Jones River Landing Environmental Heritage Center (55 Landing Road) in Kingston, MA.

A group must be able to pay as a whole, and able to pay upfront, or willing to place a non-refundable deposit and remaining payment at a later date. The full fee must paid at least 48 hours before the program date. If you are interested in a marine science program and have an established group, please contact Discover Marine Science to discuss a program for you (or create a new custom program), decide on a date, and make it happen. The cost of a program is dependent on duration. The cost of a 3-hour program for up to 15 participants is $375.00. Interested in a shorter or longer program? No problem, it can be arranged!

Due to temperature and weather conditions, live animal programs are offered spring, summer and early fall only. Each program can accommodate up to 15 participants, ages 6 and up. Younger non-participating children are welcome to tag along with an adult.

Below are several suggested programs for homeschool groups. For more information about any of these programs, and/or to arrange a program for your homeschool group, email discovermarinescience@gmail.com
